How to sell to Heads of Sales at Fintech companies in France

Heads of Sales in fintech companies in France are primarily measured on quarterly revenue growth. They respond to outreach that demonstrates a clear understanding of their unique sales cycle challenges, such as the difficulties in adapting to rapid market changes or the need for effective sales training for new product launches.

Written and maintained by the SoloRiff team, who build outbound software and run outbound with it. The figures below are our own: we measured 570 fintech company domains over public DNS on 2026-09-03. Last updated 2026-09-03.

What actually hurts

  • inconsistent sales training
  • adapting to rapid market changes
  • high turnover in sales teams
  • pressure to meet quarterly targets

The playbook

  1. 01

    Identify recent funding rounds

Filter for fintech companies in France that have recently secured funding, as this often indicates a push for growth. Use platforms like Crunchbase or PitchBook to gather this data. Target your outreach to Heads of Sales in these companies, as they will be focused on scaling their sales efforts.

  2. 02

    Analyze product launch timelines

Research companies that have announced new product launches in the payments or lending space. Look for press releases or industry news articles. Heads of Sales will be keen to optimize their sales strategies around these launches, making them more receptive to relevant outreach.

  3. 03

    Address team training gaps

During your outreach, mention the common challenge of training sales teams on new fintech products. Reference findings from industry surveys or reports that highlight this issue. This specific pain point resonates with Heads of Sales who are under pressure to ensure their teams are well-equipped.

  4. 04

    Prepare for objections about timing

Anticipate objections regarding the timing of your outreach. Heads of Sales may feel overwhelmed by current initiatives. Acknowledge their busy schedules and suggest a brief, specific time for a call that fits their calendar, such as 'Can we chat for 15 minutes next Tuesday at 2 PM?'

  5. 05

    Follow up after industry events

Monitor industry events and webinars related to fintech in France. Follow up with Heads of Sales after these events, referencing insights shared during the discussions. This shows you are engaged with their world and can provide valuable support in addressing the challenges they discussed.

Can fintech companies even receive your mail?

We measured the DNS of 570 fintech companies, sampled evenly across company sizes, to see how many authenticate their own email. It matters in both directions: a domain that does not authenticate is a domain whose team is used to mail going missing — and if your own domain is in the gap, yours is the mail going missing.

The gap is the finding: 34.3% of 1–10-person companies against 92.2% of the largest — 58 points apart. Small companies are where the unauthenticated domains are, and small companies are who most cold outreach is aimed at.

How this was measured

Company domains were sampled within employee-count bands, then queried over public DNS for SPF (TXT at the apex), DMARC (TXT at _dmarc.) and MX. One domain per company, deduplicated. Anyone can reproduce any single row of this with dig.

DKIM is deliberately absent. A DKIM key lives under a selector that cannot be enumerated from outside the domain, so a company with flawless DKIM under a name we did not guess would be counted as having none. That would measure our guess list, not the industry.

Domains with no MX record are excluded rather than counted as failures — parked and redirect-only domains would otherwise drag every figure down and make the result an artefact of the sample.

Sampled within bands, so this describes the population of companies, not of employees: a 10-person company counts once, as does a 10,000-person one. Each band is at least 60 domains; bands below that are not published. Figures are percentages of the sample, not of the whole industry, and we publish no company names — only counts.
