SoloRiff

Who else sells what they sell?

Enter any company website. It reads the site, works out the category being sold and to whom, and returns the companies competing in it. Every domain is checked live before it is shown, so nothing on the list is invented.

Yours, or any company you want the competitive set for.

Questions

What is a lookalike company?
A company that sells something comparable to the same kind of buyer. For competitive research it is your rival set; for prospecting it is the fastest way to expand a list — if one customer type is working, companies that look like your competitors’ customers usually work too.
How does it decide what counts as similar?
It reads the site — homepage, product and pricing pages — works out the category being sold and to whom, and identifies companies competing in that category. Each suggested domain then gets a live request, and dead ones are dropped rather than shown.
Why are there fewer results than I expected?
Because invented domains are filtered out. Language models will confidently produce competitor names that have never existed, so anything that does not respond is removed. A shorter list you can trust is more useful than a long one you have to verify yourself.
Can I use this to build a prospect list?
As a starting point. It tells you which companies occupy a space, not who inside them to contact. Turning a category into named decision makers with verified addresses is the step after this one.

SoloRiff does this every day

It does this for your own site as step two of six — then turns the category into named companies, named decision makers, and an email written to one of them.
